Welcome to Bamberg
UPDATE, December 2020: ZEUS 2021 will be a virtual workshop with a tasty, virtual social event.
Sadly, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we decided to make ZEUS2021 a virtual conference event. This was a hard decision, but without an alternative.
Hopefully we can do an on-site ZEUS workshop in 2022 again.
BUT we will send you as an author and participant a beverage hamper for our social event and the breaks. Since ZEUS is famous for having great discussions about research plans and expanding your network/finding friends, we try to enable this in the best possible way.
The ERBA building was completed in 2012 as one of the newest buildings of the university. It is located on the grounds of a former textile factory which was called ERBA. In the context of the Landesgartenschau in 2012 the whole location was renewed with the new university building, new apartment buildings and a beautiful park surrounding the site.

It is located at the northern end of the so-called island of Bamberg. It is called an island, because it is enclosed by the river Regnitz on the west and the Donau-Main canal on the east. You can get to the ERBA building by foot, as Bamberg is not that big, or get a bus of the line 906 and drop off at the stop called "Spinnerei". Bamberg itself can be best reached by train.
